Rooted in one landscape.
Shaped by many.

Shristi Shrestha Demougeot is a Nepal-born artist, a French national, and a Swiss-based ceramic artist. She is the founder of Studio Himalaya and works primarily with stoneware and porcelain to create hand-built ceramic forms that explore the relationship between earth, memory, and abstraction.

Positioned between sculpture and object, her work embraces organic movement, subtle asymmetry, and restrained surfaces as intentional elements of her visual language.

Rooted in material sensitivity and slow creation, Demougeot allows clay to guide each form through an intuitive, meditative process. Her natural glazes reference geological landscapes—mountains, soil, and mineral traces—reflecting both her Himalayan origins and her European context.

Rejecting serial production, she conceives each piece as a singular, collectible work rather than a reproducible product.

Since 2023, Demougeot has developed an evolving body of sculptural and functional ceramics held in private Swiss collections. In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition, Immortalized Nature, in Neuchâtel, followed by participation in a group exhibition in Basel.

Through her ceramics, she invites quiet contemplation, transforming raw earth into refined, tactile art forms that resonate across cultures and spaces.
